Rochester, New York (March 7, 2017) – Race of Champions management and regional recording artist, Eddie Lee have reached a promotional agreement and have currently agreed to three dates to enhance the 2017 Race of Champions schedule. The band will play twice at Lancaster National Speedway and appear as part of the always epic  Race of Champions at Lake Erie Speedway on Thursday, June 28 kicking off the weekend.

“I have always been a big Race of Champions asphalt modified racing fan,” stated Eddie Lee. “I have several friendships that exist based on my history of being a fan of this sport. It has rewarded me with some very memorable times and we feel this is a great way to bring together two great forms of entertainment and enhance the fans experience. Great racing and Great music will go hand-in-hand and we are very proud to play a role in the promotion of the Race of Champions.”

Race of Champions steward, Joe Skotnicki stated “We are always looking at unique, fresh ideas to promote our events and the sport to create and build new fans and this provided a great opportunity to join two recognized genres and bring them together. It is a great opportunity that we hope fans from both sides will embrace and assist in continuing to build our brand of racing into must-see events.”

It was a meeting between the two forces when Joe asked Eddie Lee if he had ever thought of writing a song about/for the ROC.

Available now for all racing fans is “BY THE GRACE OF GOD & 600 HORSE POWER”. Self-penned by Eddie Lee AND NOW AVAILABLE ONLY ON

If you love racing, especially modified racing, you’ll love this song!! It certainly pays homage to the Late Great Hall Of Fame Driver Richie Evans and even the first ever modified champion in 1948 Flyin Red Byron!

The Race of Champions is a sanctioning body presenting Modified and Stock Car racing on asphalt and dirt surfaces throughout the Northeast, with events in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The 67th annual Race of Champions weekend will take place in 2017 at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pa., on September 28, 29 and 30.
